DAMN Jetta won't start!!

    Okay, my wife's 96' Jetta doesn't start sometimes!!! It happens about 30% of the time!!! Then it takes about 5 minutes until it does start up. Any info would be great!:cool: I know it ain't Taco stuff but help a TW brotha out!!! :D

    Next time it starts do the following:

    1. Back out of driveway
    2. Head to Toyota dealership
    3. Trade in on another Tacoma
    4. Drive home smiling
    5. Present to the wife.
    6. Tell her you won't even touch this one...

    Well it just doesn't turn over. Just tries to start and that's about it. Weird though because after about 4-5 minutes, it starts up. Kind of slugish, but it starts.

    I have a friend who is a VW nut. He builds G-60 superchargers, turbo conversions, audi 20 valve heads, audi-vw monsters, he actually builds a "Brain" on a lap top to map the "everty thing" inputs and makes them work. But the factory VW is sometimes propriatory on newer cars. If's it's a deisel then you might have a problem. Can you give me more info??
