Got done making my thread updating truck pictures and this morning had a Honda pull out in front of bus across my lane, spun around and clipped the back tailgate and bumper

Slammed the brakes and it just wasn’t enough. Anyone know what this adjuster is about to hit me with? Especially people with metal bumpers who have had anything like this happen

Whoa, pull those ditch lights off before you give it to the junk yard.

Of course it was honda. I swear 90% of bad drivers Ive come across are Hondas, at this point I always pass them or stay away, I don't even park next to them. I am not even joking.

I was rear ended and it cost 6K, they replaced rear bumper, tailgate & tow hitch. The tow hitch itself is attached to bumper, it mounts on the frame with bolts. Also some moron hit my PARKED truck and bent my driver side front side fender, cost 1K.

i assume it will be around 10K or so, I hope frame isn't bent, steel bumpers might do that sometimes. You should install dashcam in the future for POS drivers like that, did they even stop?

$12500 my guess. Nothing for mods unless added that coverage.

Yeah my brother said the same thing right after it happened, he rolls around with a dashcam in his truck and has had to use it. Probably the next wise investment.

I can’t make any bold statements about Hondas cause my other vehicle is one, but I see the irresponsible people in these cars all the time.

She did stop and was very sympathetic and thankfully neither me, my brother, or her were hurt but yeah it was a boneheaded move. She was very sweet though.

    This was her damage..

Get ready to argue for the correct amount for your truck.

OP, if you were at fault you would lose out on all your mods but since you’re not you have some leverage so hold out and don’t settle for less than you want.

You should already be in a rental.

Should be yes. In reality, hit on Friday, report won’t be in until Tuesday prolly, then her insurance should reach out I think but still gotta wait on that.

Mainly upset about the title having something like this on it, planned on trading it in next 6months but my trucks value just vanished this morning. I’ll be sure to put up a good fight with the adjuster I appreciate the words.

I’ll keep yall updated, guy was 50% done with the quote when I came by and said it was 10k so far, can’t imagine the rest being that much more unless frame got bent.. He did ask me brand of my bumper though.

Tesla drivers are the worst by far. Distracted drivers with acceleration.

It looks repairable, but it's gonna take a lot of soap and water before they can start slinging fresh paint. o_O

Can I ask you what brand that front bumper is?

Stupid drivers come in all vehicle flavors.

It's not just a Honda thing.
