Oopps. Sorry about that, hoping it gets fixed real good. That must have been scary.

I was thinking straight away about whether you had the dashcam to post a fine video, but I read on through the entire thread. I recommend fitcamx because it integrates invisibly with the rear-view oem mirror.

An attorney consultation is free. Call 2-3 of them and ask how to proceed.

Also call your agent. Express your concerns and if nothing changes then go to the attorneys.

Spoke to Insurance Agent yesterday, she sent it up to her manager for him to get it moving a little quicker. Just gonna file it on mine and have them recoup. Not sure about state of truck yet because work just officially started on it today, and they need to see about any other possible damages.

Gonna bash progressive rq they said this wasn't a first time thing at their body shop with them letting a vehicle sit with no word. Not really sure how the other girls vehicle process is going

Most body shops make their profit from charging insurance for the storage of the vehicles since the work to repair, and replace parts has little to zero profit.

Are you kidding? Insurance work is bread and butter for body shops. Lots of profit. That's why insurance companies fight them so hard to use cheaper parts and cut their hours.

I wasn't aware OP was trying to turn this in on the at fault insurance company. No wonder they're dragging their feet.

That's good he's using his own insurance company and letting them go after the at fault insurance for reimbursement.

I had progressive for years. The only thing they excelled at was raising my rates at every renewal. After almost 10 years when I did have a small claim due to a bear tearing into my truck they were complete turds about the whole process. I dropped them like a Plinko chip on The Prices Right and switched companies immediately after.

FWIW, I've never had a good experience with an insurance company when filing a claim. They all suck. :boink:

I'm not kidding, the insurance agencies have negotiated the prices down so low, there is no profit in the work itself, it's the parking charges where they make their profit. I know multiple people who run body shops, it's insane, their paint guys have to work side gigs on the weekends to make extra money, even the owner does his own side gigs on the weekends to make a profit because they make no money from the insurance companies.

All suck is the best way to put it. I'm already expecting my rates to go absolutely sky high. Farm Bureau has been pretty good with me but they love to yell at me when I hit shit.

Turns out actually, the girl I hit was not listed under the Progressive Policy I and the Police were given. Having to treat it as a No Fault/Uninsured Driver accident now. Trucks just been sitting at the body shop for 3 weeks, and finally spoke to adjuster but still waiting for more news.

Well 28 Days from Accident. They Totaled the Truck :/
Water Seeping Inside and Frame Damage. I really fucking loved that truck though, only had it since July and spent 8 months making it look like it did, probably won't finish the other one before summer.
