    ^This right here.

I was in the SAME exact boat as you. I have my Tacoma and she had a 2010 4Runner Trail. Financially, i couldn't keep building up two vehicles and my wife wanted something a little more economical.

The trail is a really good offroad vehicle out of the box. Here is the problem, it is TOO nice to take offroad. With my truck, I don't care about scratches, dents, or whatever. I can load just about anything in the back of the Tacoma. I can't do that with the 4Runner. The Tacoma is way more practical.

I may get another trail years down the line whenever I get done with the Tacoma but I have another $20k planned for the Tacoma.

If you're an outdoorsy kinda guy(camping, fishing, hunting) you're gonna miss that pick up box IMHO but if you just cruise I think you'll enjoy the runner .

your point? That makes no deal. There are 3 Toyotas in the front yard right now. That's how you do it. :D

There is a 4runner in the front yard dude. Yeah they are nice but if your used to a truck then eventually you get tired of the runner. I don't even drive hers anymore.

Do whatever works best for your needs. Personally I love having the option of both.

1.Toyota-excelt cars/trucks run great and last forever easy to work on some times.
2.Honda good cars honda stay away from trucks.
3.Chevy- they have the Camaro come on its a classic.
4.Ford- cool sporty cars and trucks are nice have diesels but who's cares diesel is expensive.
5.Dodge muscle car and cool trucks after you swap the rims and give them a tint job.

    Honda makes trucks?
Ridgeline is not a truck. It's a tall car without a trunk lid.

The Powerstroke is probably the best available full size HD truck, with the biggest piece of shit engine since the Cadillac NorthStar stuffed into it.

The Dodge Ram Cummins is quite possibly the best Diesel engine on the face of the planet.... wrapped in the worst "fall apart at 30k" sheetmetal on the face of the planet.

    *Shudder*

The Ridgeline is like that kid that's trying way too hard to fit in with a group they clearly don't belong in.

Thanks for everyones input. You can rest assured that a ridgeline is not in my future . Wifey did a little research and is now focussing on the Camry loaded. The local yota dealer is offering Lifetime powertrain warranty on all new vehicles as well, runner came with it.

Took the wife and kids to fireworks last night in the runner, what a great vehicle, still love it. Even drove it through a ditch to park. Wife has begun calling it my car already. Was able to get the entune going with Pandora from my oldish Blackberry, worked flawlessly.

I think I'm gonna take the runner, but second thoughts are coming on, plus I just got the chirping fan replaced in the taco. taco definately has a little more giddy up. Gonna do a road trip this weekend in the runner, then i should know for sure.

Already know first mod will be disabling the safety feature on the touchscreen while vehicle is moving. Wife was trying to add station to Pandora while I was driving and it wouldn't let her unless we were not in motion. Lame.
