i have a 2017 DCLB and i noticed damp seat belts after some heavy rain this week. I guess I'll double check my roof bolt holes as well...

Yep, I have an Access Cab. And yes, it was the front belts that were damp. Honestly I did not check the rear ones, I only check both front ones...

Good point that the front belts are in the rear door. I honestly did not do a super thorough job of checking for water everywhere. I did a quick look under the all weather floor matts...carpet seemed good. To my knowledge it was just the belt. It has been raining quite often this week, and the times it doesn't I am at work, or it is night time and I'm spent, haha.

Still got clear weather slated for this weekend, hoping to do more investigating then.

Thank you for bringing up the differences with the AC, saved me some time once I begin to troubleshoot

I just wanted to follow-up on this thread as we had some heavy rain in my part of North Carolina a couple days ago. I got in the truck last night to go grab some food and could basically wring water out of the driver-side seat belt. I'm definitely going to remove the roof rack (which is OE) and try the suggestion to add some silicon to the bolt holes. This seems like an awful thing to have happen as, if I recall correctly, there is an airbag sensor or airbag plug of some sort at the bottom of the B-pillar. Presumably water running down the pillar towards that can't be good...

Anyone know if this doesn't fall in the realm of the anti corrosion warranty period? Mine leaked during a car wash so I'm taking it in and pushing the anti corrosion warranty on them.

MrGoodCat, did you figure out your leak? I have a Gen2 access cab and I think I have a bad door seal but before I rip the thing off, I would love to hear what happened to your truck. Thanks, Vinnyvavoom
