my 04 taco has a problem with the driver side seat belt. the buckle part is acting up. its really hard to click the belt into it and makes a crazy sound when inserted and its even harder to get out of. i have to push the button in really hard to get it to release, its got me worried to drive in case i ever have to get out fast. I've already took it apart to see if i could see any dirt or debris clogging things or if anything is looking funky and all looks good.

so does anyone know of a place to get oem or oem quality seat belt parts? id prefer to buy something new but ill take used if its in good working order. i put in a request threw junkyard dogg.com but all the replies were for $50-75 and that seems a lil steep for just a used buckle. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!

I have a Jeep that had this problem several years ago. I sprayed some penetrating oil in it and have not had a problem since.

I did spray a lil penetrating oil in it, didn't help. I also do have one of the emergency glass breaker too. it just won't help if i can't get out of my seatbelt

I would swing by a Toyota dealership and see if it's a warranty issue....
