The truck is a 2009, not in a garage. No sign of moisture in the cab.
No smell if i keep the windows up, but when i open the windows i smell a dank/damp smell.

I bought the truck new, so i don't think it's a cabin filter thing?
Is it a leaky window molding somewhere? I smell it with one or
    both windows down.

    Any others ideas out there?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Paul i can't think of anything causing that since it's only when the windows are down. Now if it was the other way around i'm sure there would be some reasons. good luck

Moisture inside the window maybe? Any imperfections in the rubber seal at the bottom of window?

I meant moisture inside the door.

mine has the smell sometimes as well. it's the felt "wipers" on your window seal. i think mine is this way becasue i seldom put the windows down far enough to let them dry completely. put your window down and take a good whiff of the seal...i guarantee that's where it's coming from. i have no remedy other than to let the windows down all the way whenever you can.

    Thanks Folks,

I should add that this is an Access cab, but i've opened all the doors and noted
no moisture around the door frames either.

Yea, same here...i hardly ever have the window(s) all the way down,
so that must be a clue.

We haven't had much rain around here until the other day, but i've smelled this before the rains.
...I'll give the felts and rubber seals a look.

btw, Is there a door drain at the bottom of the doors somewhere?...like those for sunroofs.

    Danke~!:)

    To follow up.

    Yep, it's the window felts/moldings...funky!!
I put the windows down all the way, both sides and waited
about 5 minutes...then put them all the way up and the
outside surface of the glass had moisture on them.

Moisture down in the door isn't unusual as those felt/molding
bits do not fit very precisely...but they don't on my Audi either
and it doesn't have that smell.

Those that have smelled the smell, what did you do?
Does it go away or can you dry the inside of the doors somehow?
...or spray some smell good down in there?

btw, there are no drain(s) under the doors that i could see.
