    This must be contagious...
My truck has to go the shop tomorrow morning.
A noise I wasn't sure what it was, looks like a wheel bearing...

There wasn't much snow at all to be seen when I was in the area Sunday/Monday. There are plenty of soft spots to ruin a day if somebody is going to fast not paying attention. Wabun lk rd looked totally clear from the main road, it is a water access point that ppl camp at, if you go up the steep hill that looks nasty to the hydro line trail you could likely find all kinds of open area.

I camped beyond the damn up at Sullivan lk, not a Tacoma or ZR2 accessible trail! I hiked in about 2km from where I parked about 500m into the trail. I had initially intended to head towards Crag but the trail was not favourable due to ice build up at the 1st interesting spot about 150m into the trail to the real Crag lk 4x4 trail. I also am aware of the massive water/mud hole that stays wet all yr and figured no thanks before screwing myself alone with no winch up front these days.

An alternative camp idea for the group is that if Wabun is not good to head to the hydro dam, go up beyond it and there are huge open areas that ppl use to camp under the hydro line.

As for firewood leave that at home and don't smash cap windows! There is sooooo much easily accessible wood in the very open forest at this time!!

There is cell service in a lot of spots out in this area, I had enough service to listen to podcasts that I hadn't downloaded up at Sullivan, I can't make any promises about Wabun though.

I checked those lakes. They are just a bit further away from both trails another backup I heard of was shiner lake, and yeah, I am Curious about the areas past the boat launch. I see the trail in and out of the hydro line.
Do you know if it's possible to camp in this red spot area? Maybe too tight?

I don't know about that spot in red. The lakes I mentioned in my last post will be hike in only if you want to see them. The trail up to the hydro line from Wabun boat launch/camp area looked rough last time i was in there, but my 2009 reg cab with open diffs made it up no issues, then options open up from there.

I will be bringing a chain saw as well so if any trees fell on the trails we can clear them out of the way

Also @Mbernique will be hoping in my truck on Saturday, cracked his frame from it rusting out at a weld. So he won't be having his truck fixed in time for the trails

I’m strongly leaning in this direction as well, especially with this stay at home order looming. I’m gonna respectfully bow out [with JR]. Maybe next time bros.

I have been trying to go camping for some.time now. I stayed home and cancelled my trip.twice now both in front of lockdown orders.
Each time I noticed the hundreds of people in my area out and about and I felt I made an unwise decision. This time around I'm hoping to see at least 50 people at wabun lake,if I don't I'll be pretty upset for missing the last two trips. :)

I know.thwre will be 0 people there. That's my guess.

I am still on for this.
The wheel bearing will be replaced by tomorrow evening, will start packing at night.

Let's stay at least 2 meters apart at all times. when leaving the truck to check anything or to help, wear a mask.
Let's just stop to put gas, nothing else. Whatever we need to eat and drink, let's bring from home.

This is looking better and better, the least people we have, the better will be.

I will bring my off-road member cards, to prove we are doing outdoor activities.
On previous stay at home restrictions, snowmobiling and off-road was allowed.
The only thing is that we will be outside our area.... So the more cautious and respectful we are, the better.
