    The weight of one skid isn't noticeable. It doesn't affect ride height or MPGs. I understand the cost being a deterrent, but I've got scars on mine that I have no idea where they came from (some I do know). My stock "skid" had taken a couple of hits that made me nervous, but again was way more beat up than what occurred on those known hits. All it takes is one solid hit in just the right spot and you'll be out thousands of dollars and maybe stranded far from anything. The cost of a good IFS skid is quite low when you look at the big picture.

    I used a heat gun and went very slow. Took awhile but I thought it turned out great. Heat and then rub it in real good with you thumb. image.jpg
