Every now and then when I'm backing up at full lock, it'll rub. The place that did my wheels and tires trimmed it out pretty good for me.

For carrying multiple bikes on road trips the Kuat NV is fantastic, but for an off road trip like this the Kuat Dirtbag mounted like I had it is the way to go. The long overhang of the NV would not be practical for off road stuff like I did. I scraped my hitch once without it, it would have torn it off if it was on there.

After I got home from Colorado I unmounted the tent and didn't have any winter adventures. Finally getting back out to LBL for some camping. Had perfect weather, I chose Nickel Branch Campground this time since the Canal Loop Trail runs through it and I wanted to get a couple of rides in. Also, I finally got to open up the skylight on the tent. I really liked it open.

    Thank you!

I need to update this thread. I've had a busy year that unfortunately didn't include adventuring. I got married in September and we got a new house in July so I have been busy with all of that. Anyways, once I got home from the honeymoon I began work on a small utility trailer to haul my rtt to campsites with.
    This is how it started:
    20161005_182310_zpsut5y3lqy_6e2b6e9b024b26aefb8087475966c461d5cfc548.jpg

Had my brother in law weld on a rear hitch for my bike rack, and I built the tent rack and sides and had it ready to roll:

And first time camping in it:
    20161015_083242_zps5zfskzpd_757713658bc1a081fbadce6c9e07317989a48ba4.jpg

My buddy was watching my InstaGram pics diring building it up and he wanted it to haul kayaks and SUPs so he bought it off of me after only one time of using it. I'm going to build another one, but start with a better trailer, and stiffen the box up a little more. I'll have pics of that when I get around to doing it. I want it to be able to haul my stuff to Yosimite.

I know what you mean about no time to adventure, I'm a college student and just busy all the time. I have a camp a few hours from my house so I end up going there most of the time and floating some of the rivers fishing for smallmouth and trout sometimes of the year. I'd really like to turn my RC into a sweet outdoorsman rig! But money and time don't allow for that!

Do you drive all the way from KY out west to go to all these places?

Once you get out of college, and get a real job, and a mortgage, you'll find that you have even LESS time for adventures. You just have to make it a priority and carve some time out to get away. It'll really help keep you sane. It helps if you marry an adventure partner. She loves to go camping and road trippin' with me. Our new house is only 15 minutes away from LBL, where I do my quick camping trips. I'll definitly be able to get more camping in next year.
