the head unit will not recognize it as an obdii. I am not sure if you can change the class of device(COD) on the veepeak but it needs to be 001F00. If you can change it, it will show up as an obd device and connect.

Interesting. Figured I can just connect via BT. Says it supports android and shows it as a device but won’t connect (Bluetooth wise)

I used the obdwiz app that comes with the OBDLink you can send commands to change the COD and name of the device.

ah yah that adapter is double the price. which one did you get? LX or MX? I upgrade to the Veepeak from the cheap wifi one and it was great with just phone or ipad but looks like i cant update like you mentioned since there is no standalone app.

Hello I'm installing mine. Anyone know where I have to drill the holes for the original bracket?

That’s a car launcher, the Agama Car Launcher. I’m actually not even using it any longer, I’m using CarPlay now through the CarLinkIt dongle. The Agama launcher is cool looking but I wanted artist/track/album art etc on and that just doesn’t do it

Anyone get the switch pro app to connect? Seems like a lot of apps that would connect via BT only pick up the phone or my iPad. HU does not seem to find them.

Got the VeePeak OBD work. Trick here is make sure iPhone BT is not connected. This brings up the prompt to add but nothing. Change the pass code to 1234 then try and it connects. Once its connected you can use both but it won’t add if your phones connected already.

Odd but this will get it to work. I did order the elm just in case but looks like no need for it now.

Now need to get my switchpro to work on it.
