Has anyone upgraded the wifi antenna on this thing? Was thinking the antenna that comes with it is really small/might not work well. I've looked online and they sell a set of antennas but one is 2.4Ghz the other is 5ghz. Does anyone think it's worth spending 10 bucks to upgrade the antenna? If so what antenna? The 2.4 or the 5?

Not sure if that would help. It indicates max signal strength from my phone's hotspot already.

I got a good deal on a pioneer 8400, so I'm thinking about selling my unit, took it out last weekend it still has the screen cover on it, I have the wireless dongle and the wire to retain the factory gps. I put tessa tape on the wires to clean them up a little

If my wife will ever stop creating work for me I'll be doing it. No clue which RCA plug it is, so I'll be trying them all.

Dasaita sells a universal backup camera that can be added to the cart from their official ebay store. Could that be ran as a front camera; Or would I have the guide lines on the front view at all times?

Edit* AliExpress has it on sale at the moment

Just make sure you can flip the image back and remove the parking lines on the camera

This claims to be universal so I’d expect it has the ability mirror the image? Reading through all those translated Q/A’s provides absolutely zero information

I saw that one and might try it if this doesn’t work. Only trying it because it was a bundle discount.

does anyone have a link to the dasaita ebay store? everything I search comes up empty, no clue. The one i found has 1 item in the store and nothing when i search ebay at all for "dasaita Tacoma"

    very confused.

Edit: Nevermind; am dumb. Seems I can't work the ebays well.

Is the Max 6 better option than the px5? can anyone comment on any sluggishness or lag or any?

I bought the PX5 last month and no sluggishness at all. I got this one:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/DASAITA-An...a-Estima-GPS-Radio-Navi-Headunit/264042943724

Maybe the 6 is better but I doubt it would have any benefit for me. I mostly use Carplay and the radio. For $340 + $70 for Carplay, it was a no brainer upgrade.

Did you get anywhere with this? I see that pre-orders are up for the updated anytime camera kit. Since it's PnP for Entune, I'd assume the same connections would work on the Dasaita but you know what they say about assuming.

Actually will be here tomorrow so ill have a better idea in a few days. I would assume it will as you stated. The initial harness I got did not have a connection for the camera so was not able to test it.

Cool yeah I went ahead and ordered the kit. That guy:

    https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/products/anytime-backup-and-front-camera-full-kit

We'll see how it goes. I suspect it'll be a few weeks before I can try an install.

There’s actually an app on the unit where you can see the back up camera by just pushing the app. I forget which one it is though, and i uninstalled my unit. No need for the back up anytime kit

Can you trigger the camera anytime through a button press or something? ie you are in Carplay without having to exit and find the app?
