This the right unit? i find it odd they dont offer the chip for the unit rather the dongle. Regardless thanks for posting it! This is going to save me at least $50 over eBay. Also get 7% back with wikibuy if anyone wants some cashback.

Edit: What did you use to pay? I noticed paypal wasnt an option, CC?

yes this is the unit (Corolla is the same)

it shows as a dongle but it is the built in chip. When you add to cart it ask for a color option but the color options are “dongle” or “built in”. Obviously, select built it.

I paid with CC and no issues

So how do I actually remap buttons? It would be nice to change some things around, but I can't seem to figure out how.

There should be a steering control app or you can go into the settings. I’d snap a photo but not near it. The app will bring up the area in settings

Black Friday deal is a steal. $354 for Px6 with the canbus/wireless carplay/shipped. Aliexpress coupons were a nice add on top of everything. Didnt get to use 7% cashback from wikibuy since I had buy on my phone since I didnt want to risk missing out on the deal (stuck at work).

I opened the app, but it's blank, and when I try to press a button to map it it doesn't do anything.

See when I open up the steering wheel buttons settings, it's blank and when I press any key, nothing happens.

I think I figured it out. It wouldn't let me map any buttons under the steering wheel controls option. I was messing around with the factory settings and changed the user version from 1 to 2, and after that it let me remap my buttons for some reason. Don't know why but it seemed to work

I think so yeah. Maybe that was it and not the version. Idk, all I know is i got it to work finally, even got my voice button to bring up Google assistant. Just need to find a way to mirror sms notifications now and I'll be set.

It works with car play or google play. when you use it it will voice it to you. Doesn’t show the txt. The txt to send a message is pretty good too.

overall not bad. Sending a txt has been better than the OEM radio

Yeah I'm trying to mirror my SMS without Android Auto, I'm trying to just use the head unit by itself.

Gotcha not sure that’s supported. At least I haven’t seen it work. Only via CarPlay. Android or CarPlay makes it easy for core settings.

I think there are a couple apps out there I have read a out on the XDA forums, just have not messed with it much. If I can get that working, I won't really need to use Android Auto.

If you find a good one let us know. I’ve found that unless the HU has data it’s limited.
