I don’t think anyone has installed it in a 2020 as they all have CarPlay I’d assume? Unless SR5s still do not. In that case I’d suspect you would have to change the bezel for fitment.

So, who all has swapped the PX6 in for the JBL head unit in a '16-'19? Now that you've had it a while, how're you liking it compared to the JBL HU?

Does anyone have the link to the factory gps adapter? I have a search the thread and people talk about an adapter that a guy named OP linked. But, I can not find it.

A lot better than the JBL HU in function, screen resolution and bigger back up video. Sound quality is about the same, the JBL sub still thumps like factory. Love the wireless Apple car play.

Some negative with the HU is kinda slow wireless connection to Apple carplay. Also wish the HU automatically recognizes between my wife’s phone and mine when one of us is only in the car and automatically connects that I do yak phone.

I put this ROM on my Dasaita and it fixed the horrible reboot bug it had. I like the interface a lot more too.

You just click the correct download link (PX5, PX6 etc) to get the update.zip file, put that on a microSD card and when you put it in the unit, it just asks to update, click yes, then you have the new ROM.

What he linked is an aftermarket rom, this is not an update for stock.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding what you mean.

No that makes sense. One of the latest updates is very similar with split screen. This looks to have been updated on that as I notice some differences.

ok I have been on lookout for an upgraded bezel on ebay and the way people describe it they usually just say "oem bezel" and looking at them they simply look exactly like mine. any tips on what I am looking for?

I've been looking since the question was first posted. The only thing I found was an HDMI to NTSC converter, which hooks into these units. That means you would be limited to 480 lines of resolution.

Now the question is what do you want to display? I have a portable SSD with roughly 330 full length movies from and my entire itunes library plugged in via one of the three USB ports. I have a mobile hotspot in my truck, so anything that is web based can be displayed. The only other thing I could think of that might be needed is an HDMI output to another display (say in the back seat) which I can do on a cheap android tablet via Inkware android screen share.

same I have a SSD I plug in and was looking into a hotspot. Nowadays no need for an input. The one I had seen someone had connected a video game console so it made sense. Almost anything will be scaled down but at least its a small screen.
