been a while since I've been on this thread, I was one of the original guys who got the PX5 units back in Sept. Everything has been good until a few weeks ago and the unit was having trouble with the CarLinkIt dongle I'm using to get CarPlay(wired) to the unit. The unit would take a few times of plugging it in to get it to display CarPlay. Then this week the unit kept rebooting Android and now AutoKit just keeps spinning the circle like its trying to launch CarPlay but never connects. I did an update today to AutoKit but it didn't help. I need to try a different cable with the dongle or perhaps the dongle itself has gone bad, there was no new update for the box(dongle). If anyone else is having these issues I'd like to hear what you did to fix it..
    Thanks!

    Two things:
-Both the headunit itself and the dongle need firmware updates. The MCU update for the headunit can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...asaita-mcu-updates-rockchip-px5-octa-t3575155 You will need to load the update on a fat32 formated flash drive, root directory. Connect the flashdrive to the unit before turning on the vehicle. The unit will automatically detect the update. Allow it to run.

-During the bootup of the Applications for the dongle, hit the cog symbol. Scroll to the bottom of the page and hit check for updates. It will automatically download the update for the dongle. You will obviously need to have the headunit connected to wifi.

I just did my updates last week. They went flawlessly.

ok I'll try the MCU update for the HU, I did the autokit update couple days ago. I got in my truc kthis morning and plugged the phone in and it worked perfectly, then 30 mins later I get in the truck again and its giving me fits about connecting, circle spins and it connects for a few seconds then spins again to no avail, unplug phone, plug in phone and it works fine...agrivating

If the MCU update doesn't put your issues to rest, try putting the dongle in compatibility mode. Again, open the dongle apk, hit the cog and change the connection mode.

Looking for some info from you guys with the Dasaita kits, Ive got the Joying headunit in my truck and I have found that bluetooth is 100% locked out for anything other than phone or OBD reader.

I need to be able to connect my audio control DSP to the headunit via bluetooth connection. It doesnt connect through the standard bluetooth menu, but it needs a bluetooth connection thats not blocked. Has anyone connected anything other than a phone or OBD reader to your headunits?

The joying only connects with the bluetooth app, it wont do anything in the system settings.

Not sure it will work here either. I can connect my phone and reader but my switch pro, solar controller and a battery monitor I have won’t show up.

The underlying issue is that everything on the headunit is accessed via an APK (the equivalent of an windows driver/program). If you can connect your device to an android tablet, then it will connect to this headunit.

Add one more thing to this mod. I just got the Front Camera Anytime Mod fully working with this head unit. Works like a charm

In theory it seems easy but curious what you did? I thought the head unit supports that without missing it?
