Ok, so I’m trying to compile a list of parts (and decide which version of the headunit) I need to order to pull off what I want out of this radio uograde. So far all I’ve ordered is the canbus wiring adapter to allow the headunit to control my factory JBL amp. Other than that, I’ve got a pretty good idea of what I need to get a USB connector mounted in my dash for wired CarPlay usage.

The biggest question marks now are going to be around the cameras and how I wire them to do what I want. I want to display my factory rear camera on the headunit and I’m going to add a front camera that I also want to display on the headunit. My factory rear camera displays in my mirror currently and the tiny 2” x 2” screen doesn’t do much for me. I’d be fine with having a dual display when backing up or even disconnecting the screen in the mirror. I know Car Solutions sells a kit for adding a front camera but I need to figure out where to tap into the factory wiring to get the rear camera display on the headunit and make sure I order any necessary wiring harnesses or connectors. Based on the limited research I’ve done so far I don’t think I’ll need to worry about powering either camera from the headunit (I should be able to tap into the factory harness) but I’m not sure which headunit is properly equipped to handle video feeds from two cameras and what wiring is needed to do it. Has anyone done anything like this using this type radio? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    Just to let everyone know

If your headunit has built in CarPlay and uses the ZLINK app.

I was able to upgrade my seicane that uses ZLINK. It had an option to add features on the about page.

I contacted zjinnova and for $40 they sent me the authorization code to unlock wireless CarPlay. So I now have wireless CarPlay with no dongle.

@09TRDSport4x4 if you bought the seicane and want wireless CarPlay I would hold off on the wireless dongle mine would randomly disconnect. So I upgraded my zlink app that comes with the seicane for built in CarPlay to wireless CarPlay. It integrates with the unit a lot better also and it’s cheaper. So far I have had no issues even while streaming and using gps/navigation at the same time.

When I purchased my Dasaita unit I did no add any additional options from dasaita. The only extra I purchased was a carplay dongle on eBay.

What do you mean by it has treated itself?

so are folks liking the Daisata more than the Sciecene? Debating on getting one. Also anyone know if they offer the surround in non gloss black? I wanted to get it in matte black. I swapped the SR surround into mine and the matte black matches much better. Gloss black will be out of place. Not end of the world but I swore I saw it at one point.

It's been updated once, so unless there's more recent updates available.

The reason I'm asking is because I haven't updated mine yet and Im not having any issues. Maybe you had a corrupted update? Also Maybe check for a new link? I know these Android tablets can throw a fit every once in while. Also check if you have too many apps running /open at the same time. And one more thing, maybe one of the apps you downloaded it messing with software? All just a thought.

Just received the Seicane HU and for some reason, I cannot figure out how to sign in to google play store. When I try, the screen freezes and says "Checking info..." Literally just stays that way forever...

Also, I have a 2013, how the hell do I secure the hazard/clock in the bottom of the bezel so it doesn't flap around like a dead chicken?
