I'll look into the different versions of the hazard / clock panel and see if I can find the one that matches this dash. I'm going to email Dasaita and ask as well. Once I get the fitment sorted this thing will be awesome. That panel is also what clips into the dash for the lower half of the stereo so currently the stereo is only held in by the clips on top.

I got everything connected and working. Sounds way better than expected. Works with my Alpine 5 channel amp and the DSP is definitely the way to go. Steering wheel controls work with the harness thats provided and you can program all the buttons to do basically anything.

I downloaded headunita reloaded and everything seems to be working well there as well. Already dark here so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get better photos and play with the settings a bit more. There are very small gaps on either side (maybe .5mm) I plan on putting a layer of tessa tape on the outside edges to snug it up and close the gaps. I have done this with previous aftermarket dash kits and it works well and is easy to hide.

nice. not exactly sure what you want this to do but i’d be curious about - steering wheel radio and phone controls, can it use my factory hands free speaker, integration of factory backup camera offline maps. i’m pretty sure the offline maps is good to go.

I programed all the buttons on the wheel without issue. Volume up down, seek back forward, answer call, hang up, I have mode programed to go to the home screen of the radio, long press volume down mutes the radio etc. It came with a mic but I didn't bother hooking it up. I tried a phone call and the audio was equally as good as stock. The head unit has a mic built into the front of it. Offline maps worked fine but its iGo maps. I'm pretty sure you can change it but I plan on using Android auto for the Google maps anyway.

I would recommend anyone planning on getting one of these to hold out just a bit longer until the fitment gets sorted. It's basically just dangling there by the top clips until I can get the hazard/clock panel sorted.

Do your stock radio brackets fit on the new head unit? I would think you would want to transfer these over so the whole unit is bolted down.

So I was able to get the factory brackets to fit after drilling some new holes in them and I have the radio mounted up nice and solid. It did take some time fiddling with hole position to get it just right. I ended up just making slots and leaving the mounting screws loose until I got it in position. I did have to use extremely short screws though as one screw was hitting the electronics on the inside and causing a short.

Still waiting on a reply from Dasaita about the clock/hazard button mount. I haven't been able to find a stock bracket that will fit so I may end up making something out of thin L brackets or worst case scenario epoxy it in place.

i did a bunch of searching online and it looks like that hazard panel is different depending on what year the truck is. i found at least three different part numbers for 2nd gen.

Ok I'll have to do a bit more research on the brackets then.

It looks like you need the hazard switch with the clock.

So I should have posted a better picture of the mounting location on the back. It actually has three screw posts on the top and one on either side. That's why it's confusing.

The posts in the photo @arcenik posted above are actually used for the screen. The posts that I assume are intended for the hazard / clock bar are underneath that bracket I set in then. I'll try to get a better picture in the next day or two.

I have been using the stereo and haven't had any issues so far. Been running Android auto with headunit reloaded and it works great. Sounds great and the steering wheel controls work as well. Just need to get this D*@n clock mounted. I'm getting close to breaking out the epoxy

yeah photos would be good because i think we’re all lost. i’m guessing either way, the issue is going to be with the dash kit that came with the unit. and i’m willing to bet it’s a 2nd gen vs 2.5 gen issue as well.

I'd probably use hot glue in case you have to disassemble one day. Easier removal

That's not a bad idea at all. I'll prolly do that tomorrow until I can figure out a permanent solution. Everything is awesome except that hole in my dash .

Still no reply from Dasaita. Hopefully they reply on Monday.

So I got the clock / hazard glued in with hot glue until I figure out a permanent bracket solution.

I also got some better pictures of the back of the unit where the clock should be mounted. They just don't like up with the original bracket and the other 2nd Gen version doesn't look like it fits either.

Got any pictures of how you got the stock bracket to fit? Mine will be here next week just want to see how much work I’ll need to do.

Here's one side. I just measured 7 or 8 times then drilled new holes. I had to slot the rear one because I didn't get it just right. I have other holes left over from a previous install as well.

I'm not sure which unit you bought but on mine there was what looked like an electronic noise suppressor that was close to the frame and the passenger side rear bolt was touching it and kept popping the fuse. I cut about 1mm of the screw I was using and that fixed it.
