I tried mine this morning with this IMG and same thing, it launches the music player first, I close that and go to MCU update and then it tells me not find MCU..

Alright I figured it out, all updated. "Formatting" the usb drive was the issue. Make sure you do that each time. The update.zip file is the file you move over after you extract the downloaded update file. I was doing it through my phone and kept forgetting to follow all of those steps lol.

You don't have to go to settings. A menu will pop up prompting an update.

Theo, was that the MCU / .IMG file or the Update.zip? Trying to do the .IMG file I get the IMG file not found. I've formatted the USB and tried a different USB.. The update.zip file loads with no problem for me..

Ya I only got the .IMG file to update once, then afterwards it kept saying "not mcu file found". When you unzip the download and open the folder you'll see that first "update.zip". That's the one you move over.

OK, I've got another error that is popping up a couple of minutes after start up..

    upload_2020-1-9_6-15-56.jpg

Doesn't seem to affect operation.. I'm going to email Iris, give her the errors from the IMG and this error and see how their Tech support really is.. :)

I have a 10'' sub and a 250w amp laying around collecting dust and I'm thinking about hooking it up. I'm debating deleting the passenger seat behind me in my access cab. I had it placed there in my 1st Gen before and liked it. (don't allow anyone to sit there anyway lol)

I was wondering if anyone has connected a sub to the HU? I know it has a built-in amp. Do I need my external amp or can I wire the sub up directly to the HU?

I was thinking of purchasing one of these adapters since the sub uses speaker wire and connecting it to the green sub rca cable.

So my unit came in. Install was super easy in my 06. I installed my tailgate backup camera but I cannot get the HU to automatically switch the video when I go it into reverse.

I tapped into the backup wire on the passenger side and the #2 pin wire in the back of the stereo.

Most likely I am missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone have issues/ concerns with securing the HU in place? I went to over a speed bump and the base lifted up off the dash.

I have reached out to Iris to see if they offer a different panel.

So I have read the the comments from other users noting the hazard clock bracket. My issue is I had an aftermarket stereo already installed so I’m not too sure what I’m missing. I assume the factory radio has the tabs on the main faceplate. And not on the surround attachments to the hazard clock.

It’s hard to tell in photos and I can’t seem to find a detailed enough diagram.

It might be easier to show us a pic of what you have, I am going to modify my factory bracket but haven't done that yet. I live on about 3/4 mile of dirt road and have a lousy county grader operator here, it's like the old Ford suspension test 2-4 times a day going and coming and mine hasn't moved..

On the clock face I did a little different than the rest of the guys, I didn't use any glue, I used 4 of the little tiny factory radio faceplate screws and secured the clock/hazard panel with a couple of those screws, has been solid so far..

I have, you just need to have data associated with it to work well. If you are running sim card prob would work well. without it then its spotty.

Hmm. Kinda wanna replace my Pioneer AVIC7200NEX with this thing.

I hate the Pioneer. The software sucks, and I love Android. Plus, this thing easily does apps, Netflix, YouTube, etc, right?
The Pioneer makes all of that almost impossible unless you jimmy rig it and mirror stuff. It looks like crap.

And, considering I have all the wiring for the pioneer already, antenna, mic, steering wheel wiring kits... I wonder how much of a plug/play swap this would be.

They expire every so often so you have to redownload them. I think it's every thirty days

Yah I just found it a bit clunky. Mostly use an iPod mini for hat but will try it again. some apps should work but don’t. first time I tried it didn’t work but worked recently.
