you get what you pay for.

and they couldn't even be bothered to try to center the led's in the reflectors

Cheap light bar. Emits some amount of light. Not always in the direction that you want.

As a cheap light bar owner, I'd know.

It will work the part, it will even light up, but its not going to throw very far. I got a cheap light bar and it works, just not great.

So what do you guys recommend? I'm trying to stay under $200.
I saw the Diode Dynamics but they're like $400.

If you want quality lighting, you're going to have to pay for it. If you just want to look cool with a light bar on your truck, get whatever you think looks cool.

For what it's worth, I installed this brand (but not this exact kit) on my utility tractor for plowing snow at night. It lights up around the tractor enough to see well for plowing, but it definitely wouldn't do anything spectacular on a vehicle going down trails at night.

The only way to stay under 200 is to wait for a TW member to sell their used light. Most members know what they have, so its going to be a long wait.

Diode Dynamics cost a pretty penny cause they're worth it.
