Quick vid of some Prius driver who thought pulling out from a stop sign in front of a turning truck was smart.

In this video I pass by a burned semi on an interstate on-ramp. Turns out a passing semi driver thought he'd take a photo of the burned semi. In the process he lost control and drove through a guard rail and into oncoming traffic. This video shows the aftermath.

And this video shows a couple near head on collisions @MTgirl and I had during our recent road trip. We had 2 or 3 others that my dashcam unfortunately overwrote. :( The end clip shows an oncoming car that very suddenly just decided to whip a left turn into the median for no reason.

You'll want to go HD and full screen to have a chance to see this one!

@Kyitty You mean no video of us almost getting creamed by the EarthRoamer? Or the tow truck? Or the semi? Or the pickup? Or the FS fire crew?

Nope. :( Damn cam wrote over those since they didn't get manually saved.

No EarthRoamer driving down the center of a 15 foot wide road and refusing to let us pass. No forest service fire truck speeding on a dirt road nearly hitting us. No semi with an empty trailer blowing down a dirt mountain road either. :(

 this one was particularly bad I'll admit.
But every trip I take I have at least one run in with stupid drivers. Trips to Yellowstone usually involve double digits

It was a trip to Phoenix this past June that made me decide that I needed a dash cam.

Yeah they drive like assholes when they come up the mountain for the summer and or weekend here. I avoid our little downtown area all summer its just a zoo and everyone in a hurry with pissy attitudes.

Ladies and gentlemen, the perils of following entirely too close. Glad it worked out but I recommend leaving a little more space in the future. Title of this thread is a reflection of you're apparent driving abilities?

I agree following too close, but to be honest I would bet most of us do this or have done this. We put to much faith in the driver in front of us some which do not hold valid dl or on some meds legal and not so legal. And dont forget the cell phones and the many other distractions... as a motorcycle rider i deal with this crap every ride.

I think this is where I disagree with thIs assumption. I place no faith in the other drivers around me and I keep my head on a swivel.

If I give enough space between myself and the driver ahead and someone slides into that space. I don't race up to let them know I'm upset, I back off enough so that I can safely stop if necessary. All part of merging and keeping traffic flowing.

Nor do Im just saying alot of drivers do and or there in a hurry to get no where fast and cause near misses or accidents. I say again as a motorcycle rider all my life you become hyper aware of your surroundings and always thinking of an escape route. There will always be assholes that cut in front of you stay alert stay alive

Gotta get a rear camera. Almost got rear ended today by some bimbo who was too concerned with her phone and didnt bother to see that I was stopped waiting to turn. Thankfully I looked in the mirror and saw the top of her head and floored my gas. Missed my turn, but also missed having my rear end getting repaired, again.......

I guess this truck was trying to eat the back of my truck. It's bumper to bumper traffic. WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
