I just got my dashcam. It's a cheap $50 Amazon job but it seems to work OK. Need to wire it in though. I'm thinking about wiring it into the power windows to just come on with the truck but do you guys think it might be worth it to go to something alive all the time for if someone hits it parked or something? Sounds like the camera would come on and maybe catch something worth seeing.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I like having the option to have it on whenever. Some times if I end up parking in a shady area, I can leave the camera rolling and just record while I'm away.

But wiring for key on would be as easy for always on. I just figured why the hell not.

I bought the GF the same cam I have awhile back. She caught this minor crash on her way to work last week. White truck thinks he's going to make the yellow light, but the overly cautious car in front of him stops on the yellow instead of completing his right turn. Boom!

Looks clean, and I like how you hid it behind the rear view mirror.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.

Well I tried to insert the video but here's the link.

While sitting at the light a jeep ran the red and nearly nailed a little car trying to turn left as the light turned red. I say both would have been at fault but there was no collision. The jeep didn't roll but he tried.

Oh here's the video. Damn this technology has me baffled.

Yeah it was. When it turned green, I went and didn't realize it turned yellow. Then I look in my rear view and saw nobody was going. I thought "did I just run a red light?" so I pulled over to review the dash cam footage.

I got mine fixed. I pulled off the bubbled screen and swapped SD cards. Nothing good on it yet but yesterday I did pull up on a Tacoma that cranked a Charger pretty hard. Might have to pull a few screen shots of that.

I've got the rear cam on my X300, and other than if I were to maybe get in an accident. Its relatively useless. I can't even save the videos the rear cam records to my computer. F750 may be different.

(ignore the terrible song, old outdated stereo doesn't let me plug in anything so all I've got is radio)

Maybe it's a case of not knowing the intersection, but it looks like at the 40 second mark, you cross a solid line and drive into the taxi's lane. It appears as though you should have continued into the left most lane near the median.

Think it does that for the F500 too? I've got one of those too.

If that's what you think then you should watch it again. And again. And again.

Watching the video, the outside left turn lane is lined to pull into the far outside lane while the inside turn lane is lined to pull into the inside through lane and left turn lane.

I see now. The solid line I was seeing is for what would be the cross traffic. The taxi should have continued in the right-most lane.
