Hmm. I'm glad you didn't wreck but it would have been interesting to see which one would have fared better.

Edit: Sorry. Nope. Glad you saved yourself from the trouble. Screw the other guy.

I feel like my QS color blends in a lot. I have had people pull out in front of me like that a few times now.

Yep, crap like this happens all the time to everyone. Thought it was kinda funny that of all the vehicles out there it was another Tacoma.

If any of you touch your phone while driving (other than to initiate a call) you’re an asshole.

He was looking straight into the sun, not like that’s a valid reason. It probably hurt his eyes, so he closed them and went for it.

    OP, glad you're okay.

    1) It's tough to tell definitively if he had something up to his hear or not due to the reflections on the driver's window. You can see movement higher up on the window, but it's difficult to tell if that's something through the window or reflections. That said, you could clearly see that his left arm frantically moves toward the steering wheel and he's quickly cranking it with two hands. That suggests that he was at the minimum, not driving with both hands on the wheel.

    2) Regarding the sun being in his eyes, it's reasonable, but the angle of the shadows would have put it above the OP's Taco and veering to the asshat's front. So, it wasn't directly in his eyes, but certainly reasonable that it was a distraction. You can also tell that he didn't have his visor down.

    3) He certainly hit the gas once he realized that you narrowly avoided hitting his driver's door and it was all you that avoided the collision. He did attempt to slow down once he saw you, but his slowing down actually would have made it worse because it put his driver's door squarely on your front corner where more force would have been concentrated. He should have hit the gas to protect himself from a direct hit.

    4) OP, you're lucky that you stopped. Insurance companies would have held you 75% or more at fault because you had better vision of seeing him and would have used the sun's glare as his excuse.

Glad you’re OK but curious why the music cut out, do you have a record player in your truck? LOL
