I have a Garmin Mini 2. I got a good deal on them through my work, and I love it. It stays hidden, but is always there if I need it. It does everything I need it to do, and the video quality is good. My family liked it so much that my dad and brother both got one for their F-150s!

Garmin mini 2 with the dongar technologies power mirror adaptor, blackvue, or viofo's from Amazon seem to be the most popular.

I recently installed a Blackvue DR900X in my Tacoma and also in my wife's new CRV. Very happy with the video quality and ease of use. Mine were an emotional purchase. My wife had just been in a head on collision. Better late than never. The shop I used for the rest of the stuff in my Tacoma highly recommended it.

Is it the 12 pin adapter? Basically plug and play?

I’ve been using this one for 6 years. Original one died after 4.5-5 years and I went ahead and bought another.

It’s not top of the line these days, but it’s a great $100 dash cam if you’re trying to find a good balance.

I use an add-a-fuse and then snake the wiring up along the A pillar and under the headliner and it hides real well.

Anytime I’ve had service at a shop, they never see it and I’ve caught some funny, vulgar and interesting things on it.

I'm also strongly thinking about a front and rear facing camera. Do they hook up the same with the dongal to the rearview mirror?

yes 12 pin plug and play; dongar or trailgridpro adaptor will work.

12 pin adaptor for the rearview mirror if you're just using a single front facing or Garmin tandem camera. (will only record when truck is running) Garmin makes a usb "constant power cable" for dual front/rear cameras. If you want it to record 24/7 you'll need to do a fuse tap.

Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2. Tiny, good video quality and no distracting screen. Mine is tucked neatly behind my rear view mirror out of view.

Echoing what others are saying, the Garmin mini 2 with the dongar technologies power mirror adaptor is fantastic. Attach on the left (Driver's side) of the rear view mirror just behind the mirror and it's almost invisible to driver and passenger while still allowing easy access to the SD Card

Another vote for the Garmin. I have been running it for almost 2 years and it’s really fantastic. Especially with the dongle to connect it to the mirror. Highly recommend it.

I've been a fan of the Street Guardian brand for a while now. I have the X2 Pro and only have good things to say about it.
