    Hello,
Got a Garmin 46 and recall there being a plug for the rear view mirror? Also recall that plug getting hot sometimes and failing. Anyone know if this issue has been resolved and where I could pick one up?

    Thank you!

I just purchased the 12 pin directly from the Dongar website, from what I read, they "revised" their plug to fix the heat issues, Amazon is out of stock at the moment, so i figured it would be best to buy from them directly to ensure the latest plug

Do you have a source describing the plug revision? I like this adapter, but don't want electrical problems.

From my research the Amazon review seems isolated, and upon investigation it seems the product and QC has since been revised. Kevin from Dongar seems pretty receptive. It's fused for a reason, so worse case I imagine you'll blow a fuse.

Agree. It seems there are only a handful of cases where it caused real problems, but a fair number report heat issues on social media. Not sure if that's an artifact of the camera or the adapter, but I find myself pretty risk averse after spending $40k on a new truck. Thx for the link.

I’ve had one of these adapters running my dash cam for over a year now, no issues.

I can also confirm this plug has no issues. Great plug and play solution for Garmin Mini.
