I intend to order in the next few days a couple of dash cams (one pictured below and it's big brother Garmin 67W). I learned from my last dash cam that if I mount it to high on the windshield, up behind the rear view mirror that it will mess with my auto dimming feature. That dash cam didn't have such a "permanent mount so I was able to move it. I'm seeing these Garmin units are a little more locked in place once mounted....

So.. where have you guys had the best of luck mounting a dash cam? I want the bigger 67W facing forward. On the Garmin mini however... im thinking of sticking it to the back of the right side of the rear view mirror to face the rear and in cab.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice on this?
