With a little elbow grease, removing and rearranging pins, the following harness worked excellent in my 2020 Tacoma, connected in line with the bed-light-rocker, to tap into the illumination +/- for my auxiliary switches. For some knowledge for others, it appears the illumination + is a fixed +12v, while illumination - is a PWM controlled switch between 12V and Gnd, based on brightness (full bright is 100% ground).

You will probably want to buy a pin removal kit, if you don't have one. The pins are hard to get out (especially the double wire ones).

You will need to rearrange the pins (but keep them in-line in both plugs) such that the "tap" wires look as follows (top left, top right)

If you are interested in creating your own lead from there into standard aftermarket switched (AOB, or CH4x4), rather than joining the cables, here are the parts you need to order (as well as a crimp tool).

I made one when meso was selling the ECT plugs for my CB radio button.

Got a pic of the terminal crimp with dual wires before inserting them into the connector?

I dont, but I used pretty small wires, so I ended up soldering them to the terminals. I dont have a crimper, but I have a small soldering iron that I use.

Thanks. If you serach for similar harnesses, there are ones that are just one side or the other (or both) for cheaper. But I was lazy. And extra $10 to _not_ have to join 6 wires.
