Yep with red paint. Tints it more to a red and they are a touch dimmer but not bad.

I think I am done with the mod, maybe a little more blue in the clock. The blues don't match all the way around but I can't help the sirius and HU. The red needles do match the HVAC controls which is nice. Not quite red but darn close, and definitely NOT amber!! LOL

looks great man! i thought awhile ago to change the a/c controls to red as well, as that would be the best solution to the orange plastic, and not i have a pic of it!! thanks

Thanks, the pics really don't do it justice. I painted the bulbs for now, but will probably upgrade to red leds. Looks a lot better overall and the blue is so easy to see, day and night.

For those of you that used White LEDs for your numbers (tach, speedo, etc), and White LEDs for the odometer: Are the odometer numbers harder to read with the white lights? From the pictures, it seems as if it might be hard to read the numbers on the odometer.
Right now I'm thinking I'll go with white on the gauges, and possibly a different color for the odometer.

With white the ODO is perfectly readable. Its the digital cameras that wash out the numbers. In real life they are just as clear and easy to read as any other color.

I'm going to pick up a DSLR next month and will try to get some better quality photos to show people.

Yosh'll nail me on this one (it was actually my idea, not the wifes! :)) but I left my odo orange and it blends in better with the center stack. The white really looks like a flashlight in the face to me.

BTW, to answer the OP, mine went really quick. Actually had to do the LEDs twice, because the type of LEDs I got had the polarity mark on the opposite any other LED I've seen before (that's what I get for sampling them through work).

    oil change...
I did mine this weekend. took a little longer than it should have b/c I had them soldered in reversed.... Figured it out, turned them around and they worked great. I did burn out two of them so I reused the green blinker leds on the engine temp and fuel gauge...Ill be fixing that as soon as i get new ones in and adding white to the needles

they are actually a little more blue in person, cell phone pics blow

Redid mine today. Made the ODO red/white/blue and than added red to the top side of the tach gauge and speedo. What do you guys think?
