Just because you hear a rattle and read that another person fixed it by putting a piece of rubber in between the dash and windshield doesn't necessarily mean that is what you are dealing with also. Can you give more info about the issue? What does it sound like? Where on the dash is it coming from? Is it really loud?

I just would hate to have you try to put a piece of rubber in there and only cause a different problem instead of fixing the original one...

Well is like a knock noise from coming from the center of the dash. It sounds like if it waa coming from under the dash. There is a tsb for this but the dealer wants to charge me 800 bucks which is insane. That is why I wanted try the rubber to see if it fix my problem.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
Odds are, something is either loose, rubbing, or both. An exploratory teardown is the only option. Foam weather stirip is the solution for the problem. Put it inbetween the edges of the dash and windshield and any other place that seems loose. Be prepared to replace some clips along the way.
When auto makers moved away from screws to body clips, interior squeaks and rattles were inevitable.

My 2011 has this, my 2007 never had it.......after some failed attempts in locating the squeak....... I found that a nice new Alpine HU with some new 6x9's in front and new rear speakers does wonders. :D
