I don't think the Backup Camera is able to be switched off, you may want to make sure the plug is at the back in the bed, might need to make a visit to the Dealer

Check your settings in the entune settings.

Make sure it is plugged in correctly. The camera harness has a connector to unplug it if you remove the tailgate

I went through the entune, and can't figure it out. the stereo guy was going through the settings and somehow turned it off. like shaker said, i guess it's time for a dealer visit

When you say stereo guy, I'll assume you had a sound system put in. Wondering if he grabbed that wire to splice, but didn't reconnect to go back to the camera. You will probably want to start with them rather than the dealership. Not aware of anything in the settings to turn the camera off.

yeah i went to best buy to have an amp installed. we started talking about cameras on the truck, and he said he used to be a toyota technician. he started playing with the settings, and i didn't realize it until later he had disabled the backup camera. also, on the dash i had it showing the road i was on and the speed limit, and i cant figure out how to get that back either

Definitely take it back to him, not Toyota. Toyota could charge you when they see they spliced wires for an amp.

I'm sure it's something simple. Good luck. Update the thread when you find out as I'm curious as well.

Sounds like that dude was selling snake oil. I've been through the settings and there isn't a way to turn it off. Also, go through your steering wheel settings with the car parked. U can choose what info is displayed on which screen. Distance till empty, fuel mileage, compass and speed limit etc.

To change nav. Info displayed go to
Apps>navigation>map information and make sure speed limit is selected. Keep in mind that not all speed limits are loaded into the nav. Database,so sometimes one won’t pop up for me.

Also try scrolling to the right, using steering wheel controls to the little gear lookin thing...select it, there are two areas to check, first select pop-up, and make sure navigation is checked. Then back out and select speed limit make sure it is set to display only

Good news! I took the truck back to Best Buy, and after about an hour the tech told me he found a cable behind the stereo he had forgotten to plug back in when he installed my amp. I have to say, it's good to have my camera back. Thanks everyone for the tips, I appreciate it.

I still can't figure out how to get the speed limit display to work

Isn’t there a way to restore to factory settings. I’m pretty sure I saw it once scrolling through everything.

Awesome, I figured it was a missed wire.

Not all street's have limits within the map. I would check the settings as someone mentioned, then drive on a couple your most popular streets to see if it shows up there.

I'm going to mess around with it again today, but just glad to have the camera back, and the tech at best buy was more than willing to look at it, and apologetic.
