Ok, so I have a few friends that have upgraded the interiors of their old square body fords with newer seats, dashes, door panels ect. (See example picture). Ive done A lot of digging and I don't think it's possible but has anyone on here ever seen or heard of someone putting a 3rd Gen. dash into say a 2nd Gen. Tacoma?
    thanks in advanced

The only one I've seen is a 4th gen 4runner dash in a 2nd gen Taco. The 4runner dash looks 100x better too

Theoretically the dash bolts up, you could probably even swap entire door panels to mate to the dash and fit the design. The issue is making any associated electronics jive. Not worth the cost.

My first thoughts are: how will the function of the airbags be altered by swapping a different dash in there? If I'm gonna get hit by someone not paying attention, I'm planning on the airbags to be working to their full potential

    Still thinking about it.
Yikes! I bet it would be easier to put the whole cab on, than just the dash.

Not worried about the air bags, trucks going to be caged, more wondering if it would actually fit since I know the newer Tacoma's are wider and then if vents/ electronics would work after spliced and reconnected...or if the new Gen Tacoma has so many features that the dash electronics would have sever issues.
