Hi Everyone! i got my new pioneer 8500NEX installed and working properly but now i need to install some kind of switches on the new lower dash i bought... i bought 5540704050B0, which has the 2 power ports on the right side and 4 pop outs on the left...
The dash will arrive without the power ports or the AUX switch..
here is what id like to install
    HDMI port
USB X2 (1 for android 1 for apple) radio has separate usb's for each
3.5 mm jack (maybe..) could leave out if its not feasible....
i would also like to add heated seats in the very near future... would like to have 2 separate switches for that.
i would really like to keep this looking as stock as possible, so i am wondering what people have done with their dash setups or if anyone has something like this so you can share what you have done.
wondering what switches look the best for Tacoma's!
please share links or ideas! Thank you!!!

    @Goosie0080 something similar
    20210327_170603.jpg

Except instead of the separate 'LED' switches that I have, it would be for 2x seat warmers. Behind the AUX flap is a 3.5mm jack

I think I would configure it as L to R...

    Cig12V.....dual HDMI ports.....dual seat warmers switches....3.5mm/usb....12V

honestly, i have no idea what i would use HDMI for... its a feature on the radio tho, so i think i just want it "because i can" .... id just like to have it all working even if i dont use it. You never know, i may use it in the future.

Where did you get the dash panel? I need to find one as well, I am adding a Dasaita Android 10 head unit and want to locate ports in those same places.

i got mine from village toyota. they have a sale going on with free shipping. i paid 106.00 total. I tried asking junk yards around here but they didnt want to budge on selling the lower trim part... tried to make me buy the whole dashboard... I find that depending on the person you talk to, your chances of getting a non inventoried part are slim to none around here... sometimes you get a helpful person who will check to see if the part is on the truck and sell it to you, but mostly they wont....

I cut out all 4 switch spots and both power ports and put in a panel with 7 switch spots. Seat heater, camera front, camera rear, blank, usb/aux, 12v display/dual usb, seat heater. Iggy makes switch panels that fit in the lower cubby.

I *think* the smaller switches on the center dash/console is:

    1.28″ x 0.87″ (32.5 mm x 22 mm).

With the hdmi port, i can now stream anything from my phone onto my stereo receiver. It allows me to mirror my phone onto my screen so my kids have the option to watch youtube tv while I drive.

In some states it is illegal for their to be videos playing in the driver area of a vehicle. Might want to check that out in your state.

just ordered this heated seat setup.. just in time for summer!! lolol ;) i decided on this because of the switch. i really like the knob setup. i think i can work with this...The reason behind this is because i was thinking that if i put the switches behind the cup holder, id have to fight with my coffee mugs or whatnot every time i wanted to switch them on and off... i think i can install these in the empty power ports that sit off to the right a little... i dont have the lower dash yet, some im trying to visualize how it would work and problem that would occur with different setups... i hope this one will be good!

I’m only getting the right channel through my USB/aux jack so it’s probably time for a replacement or upgrade. Not looking forward to ripping the dash apart again.
