Dash Trim Color to match Outside

    The color of my '16 AC TRD is Quicksand and I'm partial to the look where the dash trim has the orange accent to match the outside color. So I was contemplating popping off the 2 dash pieces like stated in this post: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/what-have-you-done-to-your-3rd-gen-today.399305/page-237

    I would then paint the gray portion Quicksand to match the outside.
    Is this a "stupid" idea??
    (I have thick skin ... I can take honest opinions!!)
