Dash warning lights on after replacing tail light assembly

    2010 4 door TRD
    My son broke the driver side tail light and we got a replacement from JC Whitney and after installing it the dash warning lights are on and back up camera is on when driving. Is it a defective light? Or should I unplug the battery for a reset? Something else?
