    Possible for sure.

But how would this affect the other 3?

Can't say for certain, but in the case of my truck, I have one sensor that had to be replaced from a shop breaking the original. It wasn't programmed correctly, so the light stays on, and none of the 4 show pressures on the dash display. They all "work", but all 4 positions display dashes like OP is describing.

Reading back though, I don't think this is OP's issue. He claims no TPMS light on. The issue is only displaying dashes on the TPMS dash display. Which leads me back to first hypothesis; OP pressed the reset button; and we haven't confirmed if he drove far enough for the sensors to report back with their location.

They did remove the tire, but I watched the guys every move, and according to his sensor tool, it took. But that being said, why are the other three not working either...

Its possible that they may start reporting again after some more driving. I don't know what Toyota claims it takes time/distance wise for the sensors to report back after hitting the reset button, but its always different for everyone anyways. I've seen people say they were recognized immediately, and then some say it took them a 30 minute drive before they reported back.
In my truck, I have one sensor that isn't programmed with the correct ID. All 4 show dashes on the display, but my TPMS light is also on. I corrected in a post above though, I don't think this is your issue bc you don't have a TPMS light. You'd have a TPMS light if a sensor was broke/missing/not programmed with correct ID, but you're only experiencing dashes on the display, so it leads me to believe that your truck recognizes all 4 sensors with no issues, and shop verified that they are reporting pressures, but your truck is in a loop of trying to locate which corner each sensor is on it seems. I would say give it some more driving time, and if you're still having the issue after an hour or 2, you'll know for sure if this theory is right or wrong.

Edit: From the 2017 Owners Manual-

Drive the vehicle at approximately 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for

    approximately 10 minutes.

When initialization is complete, the inflation pressure of each tire

will be displayed on the multi-information display.

Initialization will take longer than approximately 10 minutes if the

vehicle is stopped for a long time, such as at traffic signals.

Thanks, there were traffic lights involved. I will give it some time and more mileage and see what happens.

Hmm, I’m not sure I can assist here. Wish I had more info, but I do recall having to relearn mine twice.

I recently JUST had this happen today me on my and my wife's anniversary trip this summer.

The TPMS went completely out on our trip right in the middle of it, 600 miles from home. The exclamation warning light came on and the dash quit reading any PSI on any of the tires......only 4 dashed lines and a warning light.
During the trip the warning light ⚠️ actually even went off, but no PSI, just dashes still

I wasn't sure what happened, but was worried the entire system went out somehow.
Much to my relief, since I had purchased all 4 tires, rims and sensors at Discount Tire, I went back there as soon as we got back, and they let me know after looking at the truck, that the TPMS just needed to be "reset".
Not sure what process they used, but a couple minutes and they had the whole system reset and after a week on the road of the system not working, it came right back online on the way home after Discount Tire reset it.

I'm gonna have to head to Discount this weekend. Mine started showing the -- on all tires, then the next day while driving the TPMS light flashed a bunch and went solid. Still doing that each time I start the truck up.

Wonder if I got a bad sensor or if they can 'reset' mine as well.

Sounds identical to my situation. Every time for two weeks during our trip, when I would start the truck the TPMS warning ⚠️ light would flash for 30 seconds or a min and then remain solid on until I shit the truck off.
The dashes remained with no PSI readings even when the warning light stopped appearing for a bit.

It sounds just like what I had, so I feel like they might be able to do a full rest of the system without too much difficulty.

Have very strange TPMS behavior that all started after getting new tires mounted and balanced at discount tire. They put the tires back in the same location they came off. all TPMS pressures were displaying when i left the shop right away for the first drive, then suddenly got the -- display on my next drive that never showed the pressures again. No TPMS orange indicator light. I tried the reset. drove and nothing came up. Hopped into Techstream and manually entered the codes into their locations and the Pressure displays came up working again. I verified they were correct pressures in correct location. Drove for a while all good. turn vehicle off and next drive get -- and never comes on again driving for over 30 min... The other day I did drive for about 30min again and they came on at about the 25 min mark. On the drive home from that location they displayed -- on start up and never came on. I Find Normally, the -- updates pressures in about 100 yards of me driving off, not after 25 minutes of driving. Not sure whats going on. I might just wait till my next rotation where I use Techstream to change the tpms ID's on a 5 wheel rotation and see if just that change clears things up. Very weird. I never get an orange TPMS light on all of this, just seems like the tire position location isn't sticking for some reason.
