10-32 most likely. His mounts are very 'aviation like'. Placed an order last week as well with no communication.

I really appreciate the offer! I'm up between Louisville and Lexington, so not too close to where you'll be.

Thanks again, maybe bring one with you just in case! I would def meet you closer to bowling green

I will bring one with me. Unfortunately, I will be tied up at the track all weekend and will not be able to venture too far away. If you happen to be near Beach Bend, send me a PM and I can meet you with it at the ticket gate.

Here is the info I was looking for. On the second page. I should have started my scanning from the front, not the back...

Thanks for the help guys. I really wish he hadn't used an, essentially, proprietary size for this ball stud.

Picked up a DMM during the Labor Day sale and it's been awesome for hunting over the last couple weeks. I can have my GPS running my OnX while I don't have cell service if I'm in an area I don't have a saved map for and also so I'm not blowing through data on my phone.

Good setup, and I understand going with what you know. But, there are a several offline navi apps for phones. I use CoPilot GPS, which has a cheap $10 lifetime update cost and has worked well enough on FS roads. There are other subscriptions out there that also include terrain, like Gaia. I think Garmin has one also?

I also download offline maps on Google Maps as a backup.

    Just some info.

How do you like that RAM mount? Been wanting to pick up the DMM, and that RAM mount just unsure if that mount will hold my phone well enough. I got a S7 in that bulky ass Otter Box Defender case. Would love to get the DMM and get my phone in a nice view for gps and such.

I'm a big RAM fan. Holding the weight of a phone is NBD. I have used them on my motorcycles for years and know hard-riding DS folks that only use them.

    IMG_20181116_154416.jpg

No issues here, but some will say that the phone will rotate. I do not experience this.

The folks in this thread like the ones that @FreshMexicanTaco sells on his site also.

For general driving I'll use the nav system in the truck. I really only use OnX to see what's public or private land. Plus, I get a nice discount on the membership and all my hunting buddies use it so it makes sharing hunting spots easy.

I highly recommend it. I've got an iPhone 8 in a pretty slim case that easily fits. My old potato of a Galaxy S5 in a medium thickness case (approximately 3/8" wider than my iPhone) fits easily as well. Pic related.IMG_5111.jpg

Picked up an X-Ram to try and my phone rotates along with the X-Ram.

Much prefer the plastic one that OP sells.

There's a few people that have done this, its not too hard to do, the cables for it can run through the DMM's cutouts and wired in the back, I can't remember exactly where the post about it was but its in here somewhere

DMM user checking. Awesome product, I bought the kit with 3 ball mounts and the spring loaded phone holder. Everything installed perfect, very solid. Great design and the phone holder that comes in the kit works great. Holds my iPhone 6plus tight.

    Would definitely recommend.

If you order the ball mount with this kit, you'd only need that first link then correct?

Hey sorry this is so late but yes the DMM uses 10-32, which is not a standard RAM offering but it made a lot more sense to usefor a few reasons which I can get into if you guys need me to but the basic reason is that 10-32 threads are "fine", 1/4-20 is more common but coarse and requires a much bigger hole drilled into the dash.
The https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-367U is exactly what I use on the DMM, however, it requires a bushing and smaller screw than what normally comes with it. I realize that this may not be convenient for some of you but I am not charging more than ayone else would for that ball, even though I have to add the extra hardware to make it fit on the DMM.

No worries, I ended up buying that piece and see washers and a bolt, worked great

Unfortunately, the web page appears to be going thru a redesign and isn't accepting new order. From the website:

Thank you for visiting us! The Taco Garage is happy to announce that in order to more efficiently provide service to our customers, we are changing our store platform to a new, better alternative. The transition will take a couple of weeks but we will come back with an even larger selection of taco products. If you have orders that have not yet been fulfilled, don’t worry, we will continue to process those normally but will not be accepting new orders starting September 28, 2019. Our Facebook, Instagram and emails are still good ways to contact us, you can also call or text 619-693-8907. Thanks!
