happens to a lot of people, the most common misconception is thinking it is a 10mm...

I had the same issue for my installation. I used what was closest. Worked just fine. If you search my posts in this thread, you will find some discussion about it. Of course, I got the V1 DMM, but the drilling steps should be the same.

This is the part of the story where friendlywithbears screws up his install with a 3/16" bit after not finding a #10 and listening to @tonered

    :D

3/16in is perfect. Slightly smaller, but you can get the fasteners through.

Yep. Looks good from here. The nice thing is you really have to try to see the mod. If there are no mounts attached. It's pretty stealth.

Anyone have a good source for a replacement radio bezel? I've found a few here and there but couldn't find it on Toyota's parts site. I'd like to have one in reserve if I decide to do this mod.

I don’t think you need one, even if you screwed up during installation and say you drilled the holes in the wrong location somehow, after you drill them in the right locations, the dmm’s plates will sandwich the plastic and all other holes will be covered. The integrity of it might take a small hit but you would reeeeally really need to mess it up before you need a new one.
