I've ordered my 4G capable head unit and while I'm waiting for it to arrive, I'm pricing out different data plans for it. I'm wondering how much data I need a month to stream music, use maps, etc. Any advice or experiences would be helpful. Thanks!

I have unlimited data for my cellular through Google Fi. With them, you can add up to four data-only SIM cards for free. You have to have a phone line with them to get the data sim card though.

That's awesome! I'm looking at it now - where does it talk about the data only sims for free? I can't find any info on it

You can only add it if you have a phone account. You can get to it once logged in.

I forgot to mention the biggest reason I switched to Google Fi. It is free international usage (calls, texts, and data).

YMMV, this is my bill so local and state taxes for Seattle, Washington. I have two lines and 1 data sim on the plan so total monthly for unlimited data comes to $120 plus the $17.92 per month ($137.92 total).

Thanks man! I just signed my family up. all in all it is a wash in cost between what I pay with T-Mobile and this. I like this billing interface better and I love the free data sims. Thanks!

Glad you found it worthwhile! Google Fi is an MVNO carrier so they just use T-Mobile's network anyways. So same service, better deal.
