I'm out of the country for 3 months and I have allowed my daughter to use my truck while I'm always. Well I got the Dreaded call,, she Wrecked my truck, :goingcrazy:, she rear-ended another car. I'm glad everyone is ok and no one was hurt but I'm mad about my truck. She has only had her license for 3 or 4 months now and I hope she has learned a valuable lesson. She has a job so she will be saving up for the $500 deductable. This puts a damper on our Christmas plans now.

I'm not saying who's right or wrong. When my daughter got her license I got her a $500 clunker that she ran into a telephone pole. That slowed her down a little. Her second car was a little better. New drivers are going to have more frequent accidents then experience drivers.

Do you guys remember what your first car was? It sure wasnt a new truck lol. I was Rollin' in the 88 accord, 4 door style.

All jokes aside what matters Is that everyone is okay. I'm sure that everyone has learned some lessons from this.

I had a big ass Oldsmobile. It was a tank. Get the hell out of my way if you know what's good 4 U. I mowed down a whole row of hedges with it. Remembering what I was like made me think it was not a good idea to get a good car for a new driver.

I would never let a teen drive my vehicle. Since my old lady was 16 (21 now) shes been in 6 accidents, have had numerous speeding tickets (most recent one doing 90 in a 55). Rear ended a tundra, rear ended a Mercedes, sideswiped by an old lady driving a Honda, backed over a mailbox (not so bad right? This is a huge brick mailbox now she needs a new bumper), spun out in a ditch (doing 80 in a 30 WHILE IT WAS RAINING) and my personal favorite, I personally watched her spin out in to another ditch while I was on my way to work, yes it was raining. She's the worst driver in the damn universe, pays almost $300 a month for insurance, complains that her car looks shitty and if I say "stop having your damn accidents and you won't have to worry about it" she will get pissed and not talk to me for a while. But it's ok, she will use the bus when she loses her license or dies first, sounds really harsh I know but put yourself in my shoes. ANYWAY back on topic, glad your family is ok, I would buy her a clunker.

Everyone is ok which is the important part, trucks can be fixed. Got in an accident myself recently.

You are right. She had a nice vehicle at one point (08 sonata limited) and all the accidents were not very severe, which is good but I've never been in an accident while I was driving (knock on wood) I've been driving since I was 13 and have only had 1 speeding ticket. I don't understand sometimes *SMH*
