Day one!

All new to me here. New to TW and new 22 Tacoma. Last one was over 20 years ago. Toyota truck number 5 for me now. Nice to be back and to be here. Don’t know where to start. Looking for people who like to spend other people’s money.

 

I’m new as well. Real nice looking truck!

One of the first things I did was tint the front windows

 

First mod I did was to disconnect from the "Insure Connect" and the other two free Toyota Connect services that track your driving habits and location.
Depending on which State you live in and which insurance company you have some of this collected data can cause concern for some people.

From my posted in June when I bought mine and called to disconnect.

 

All the safety features still work in the truck, nothing changes.
When they talk to you on the phone, they make it sound dangerous not to be monitored.

There is a BUNCH of things the system does,... and no its not all in the manual.
You are wise for diconnecting,... from the FAQ's at Toyota,..... (Driver Pulse is nowhere in the manual)

 

A fellow taco owner told me there may be a black trim piece available to cover the chrome strip around the outer portion of my grill. It seams out of place with the other chrome blackened. Suggestions? Thank you.

Do all 2022’s come with a front camera? How do I know if mine does? I would like to replace the grill but do not want disturb the front electronics. Sorry, I am just starting out with this. Thank you.

 

Only the trucks with Advance Tech have the front and side camera's. Limited trim is standar, sport and off road with the premium package might have the Advance Tech as an add on.
