Daytime Running light/turn signal "recall"

I recently got a warranty enhancement notification from Toyota...
anyone else has? Do you know if they replace the whole head light or how it works?
My inner lens appear to be cracked and separated

They replace the whole assembly; new pair of headlights. Certain models' dtrl cover melts over time.

 

Sure do wish I'd receive a letter like that. Noticed mine were melted today

You should had receive a notification from them early this month... they claim that they have received some reports from this condition.. taking mine tomorrow for the replacement

 

Wow look at that, I just got my letter today!

 

I recieved a notice from them too but, ...............I already had them teplaced a few months ago(don't tell Toyota)

 

Mine were replaced today. The new units have an amber bulb with a clear cover. Let's see how long it takes before they start melting.

Dealership ordered my replacements when I went in for regular maintenance. This will be the 2nd time for replacement so hopefully this time will be a charm.

 

Have not received letter as of yet....My lights have melted & recently within the last 5 days had my Taco in for Service....Service Adviser did not notify me of any recall parts.....?

 

Because this problem has been occurring for the past several years now, as well as reoccurring Toyota has issued an extended warranty to cover the problem.
