The smaller cut is where it's at imo. It's clean, and not too loud. Still lookin forward to see the new iterations but I'd put my money on the former scaling.

These are very clean. One minor detail I would personalize if I bought one would be changing to black allen screws.

I'm talking with DB right now about these. We're trying to figure out if the 1st gen grill should be added to the current GB, or if we should start a second thread. What do you guys think?

I'm in! 2015 grill, raised Toyota lettering, in black, with cube cutouts along with a pair of cube lights. To say that I have been impressed with the patience and customer service of DB Customz, the OP, SMKYTXN and Trail Toys would be an understatement. These guys have gone out of their way to answer questions, create customized features and generally demonstrated what true, honest customer service is all about. Oh, BTW, the price is fantastic. I'm not knocking any of the fine vendors who offer goods and services to TW members, but the price for these customized grills and lights together is less that what is being offered for a single grill with a LED cutout by other online businesses. For those who have not had the opportunity to visit the website of DB Customz to see all of the products available for our Tacomas (and FJ's): http://dbcustomz.com/

DAMN IT! I want one. Cube with raised letters or bar is the question.

I think it depends on whether you want your grill light to be your primary off-road light or your secondary light. I already have a 30" light bar in my lower bumper and use that light as my primary off-road light. I got the cubes for my secondary lights to be used as fog lights which I can use both on (limited use depending upon traffic of course) and off-road.
If your grill light will be your primary off road light, then you might consider the light bar option.
Just some thoughts....I'm certainly no expert about these things.
