Hi guys. Im hoping someone can help me or give advice.
Im a noob to TW, and to auto audio, in general.

    My question is rly 2-part.

    1. have you guys heard of the namebrand
    db Drive ?
Are their speakers anygood/worth buying or having installed?

A local audio shop is pushing them as good quality.
This is the package they are trying to sell me

    2. I want to keep my factory head unit.
Will that be ok/enough to make a decent difference and improvement in volume and sound?
(i only want a slightly louder volume than my factory speakers, but a better quality sound)

i hope i have explained myself well..
im not good at doing that sometimes,
so i apologize in advance. lol :D

If you’re not changing the head unit or adding an amp, don’t waste your money on the speakers unless it is just step one of your full system build. You will lose volume and quality. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but trust me.

As far as db speakers, I’ve never been impressed myself. And if that price tag you linked is accurate, I would personally pass on them. If your installer is pushing them, that might mean there is a super big markup that benefits them.

    Ultimately, listen to some speakers.

I won’t tell you not to buy too many things as long as you are happy with what you’re getting. The db speakers I’ve heard may have been their bottom end and the ones you linked may be much better. I just can’t find much about them online, which I think is telling. They seem to be on Amazon and eBay and that’s about it.

see if they have these speakers on the wall or in one of the employee’s cars. Compare them to some others and see what you think. Our ears are different so buy what sounds good to you.

but again, don’t get speakers at all if you’re not planning on sending them more power

    Some stuff
I have these https://dbdrive.net/product/wdx6moto/ in the fairing of my Road Glide, driving them with about 250w each. Held up well so far, and clear at 80+

Will probably do similar with the bags and some 6x9s.

In truck. Just running some kicker Cs. Gonna drive them with a small amp when I sort out a mounting solution for the amps, without killing space.
