I'd raise hell! When I bought mine the rear bumper was crooked, so were the rest on the lot. I pointed it out they fixed no questions asked!

I don't know how you can think a brand new truck with a color match problem is ok lol. In that case you may as well scratch up your paint and drive it around, if you dont "care".

It may be jacked, but before you go off the deep end, do the same test in a parking lot with no reflections or shadows to alter the look.

That wall in the background may be screwing with the light reflections.

Big open area, see how it looks then.

Mine is the same way, and no it was not repainted. Can only be seen in direct sunlight. Same side same door.

It's not that noticeable on mine though

I think the damage was repaired at some point either at distribution center or receiving dealer. I also had discovered after taking delivery on the roof of a new Ford product was repainted due to transit damage occurring on the car carrier. I was upset about the damage not being disclosed before purchase however later found out in fine print on the sales contract that damage up to $500.00 does not have to be disclosed to purchaser. The dealer did repair the issues and even offered me another new car however the re-repair was acceptable. There are painters who can blend the paint to match and not just panel paint. Personally, I would not accept the paint repair as you see it. Also, you will most likely be questioned about the color match when time to trade as well about potential damage that was not your fault.

A simple "we acknowledge and have documented the repair", plus a blended repaint would leave me satisfied.

I get it. It's a new truck and if it bothers you then get it fixed. But, i actually think it looks awesome. But that's just my opinion.

Lol, you and schwarthog both like it. I keep staring at the picture, trying to force myself to like it...nope. Where are you guys coming from? Maybe if it was painted like a Law Enforcement vehicle...

In issue like this would do a number on resale or trade in. I would definitely bring it to the dealer's attention. The issue may come down to length of time that has gone by since you have purchased the vehicle and the fact that it wasn't noticed at the time of purchase.

Take a pic from the rear and see what that looks like. I agree with everyone else in that you should take it back and have them find out why its mismatched.

I'd be pissed beyond belief if I found out that was repainted. I'd love to be able to say that I wouldn't be, since I'm trying to let stuff like this go as I get older, but I know that's BS.....I'd still be pissed.

There's no good way to fix it either, since at the end of the day, no matter what they do, you still own a brand new vehicle that has had paint work done.

After looking at the pic again I think they forgot the clearcoat after re-painting it.

Oh I would for sure have the dealer look at it. I didn't mean I'd leave it and say nothing (still think it looks cool). But for sure if I bought a brand new truck it would drive me nuts having two colors of MGM. I can't even stand gloss black center caps on matte black wheels. I'd love to see more pics too. Maybe in a parking lot with no buildings around and stuff with uniform lighting.

Haha, I'm just a fan of older two-tone Ford trucks, kinda reminds me of that. But I can see how it'd bug someone. Hopefully there's still a 2014 left to swap you!

Park it inside and look at it under halogens. That will show you any difference in color for sure. I had a black Ford that had a fender repainted. It looked ok outside in the sun just a little noticeable. They didn't blend it at all. Once it was in my garage under the halogens it was night and day difference.
