Let's see what they say. Looks like a two tone to me. I'd be upset. I mean my trucks the same color and a whole bunch of other guys have trucks the same color, how come OP doesn't?

The other side is fine. I turned it around and looked at it yesterday. The color was the same, throughout, so didn't need to take a picture.

I sent the email just before 7pm yesterday. I'll give the salesman 24 hours to respond, then I'll forward the email to the Manager. I'd go over there with the truck right now, but I'm studying for a Comp Exam tomorrow (Masters Program)...that's where my focus should be...(and not browsing forums, lol!)

Does the paint on that door have the sparky stuff in it?

Maybe take it to a reputable body/ paint shop and have them take a look and see if they think it's been resprayed or repaired in anyway. Maybe a 3rd party opinion might be helpful incase you need to raise a fuss if the dealership doesn't own up to anything.

A body shop should be able to measure the paint thickness on the door that was repainted for differences. If that was my brand new truck I'd be flipping out. Anything less than perfect on a brand new vehicle is not acceptable when you are spending $30k+ IMO.

I guarantee you it's not repainted, mine does the same, but not that noticeable, and I measured paint thickness and it's within spec front and rear. Pearls can flip and look different on various surfaces.

I agree it should not do that but it's coming from the factory like that.

My mgm looks tends to have that look in certain areas also. I think its the metallic color in general. Its also a very difficult color to match. Yours is definitely more noticeable then mine is though. Lets us know what they say..I wanted to complain myself but, figured they would just show me the door

You'd be surprised. There is a body shop down the street that does body work for a local Toyota dealer. There are brand new Toyotas being repaired there constantly.

After my first unanswered email, I sent another one with "additional cc's". It got their attention. I'm scheduled to take my truck in this Saturday. Update to follow.

    ^^ Agreed

Paint looks WAY off to me. I've had a mustang in for major repairs 2x - They can never match the factory paint, at least in my experiences.

Also, My new Baja had a scratch marks and a white color on it the size of a football right above the driver passenger door handle. I bought it anyway because it was the only one in the state and I just drove an hour and a half to get to the dealership.

That said, I had a feeling it could be taken out. Had it professionally detailed and you can't tell there was ever an issue - looks newer than new. Point being? They fuck up shit at the dealer level all the time - they treat those brand new vehicles really bad.

It should be simple. Have them replace the entire door.

Somethings up. I had a 2011 MGM and the paint was absolutely perfect.

I bought a new Chevy S10 Blazer back in the day and I had a front fender like that. I took it back to the dealership and they repainted it, no problem. I don't think that you'll have an issue if it's a respectable dealership.
