I was hoping a dealer in the area would at least have one for the showroom, so I can see it in person or maybe even test drive. I don't want to put down any money until then.

Dealers I've talked to in the area have said it'll be about two more weeks before they get some in.

    I was told October.

I was also told that they really didn't change much except the front-end design, then tried to sell me a 2015. Fucking salesmen.

Started w Bill Kidds. The build date came and gone and they wouldn't even give me detailed pricing. Killed the deal. checked out Jerry's except the guy I was talking w was off his meds crazy and obnoxious. Plus that place is so sleazy they really shouldn't be allowed to sell Toyota. They have something like a 1 star review consistently. Ended up with an offer from Browns but I'm looking at 4-6 months on the build. Bill Kidds has one in stock and I think that is it.

If anyone is in northern VA, both of the ourisman Toyota's are decent dealerships (Fairfax nicer than Chantilly). Koons Tyson's has some sketchy people working for them. There is one off of route 1 in Alexandria that is also sketchy as hell. Miller Toyota in Manassas I will never deal with again.

Rosner in Stafford is saying they aren't moving off MSRP. Like liquid gold. It'll be interesting to see which dealer in the area will offer the best pricing.

Ourisman Chantilly already started that they don't be moving off of sticker price for a few months. They won't be charging a premium though.

I've floated around then entire area over the last several months looking to purchase a new tacoma. I drove a lot of 15s, and loved them...I just decided that I wanted to wait for the 16. I'm going to have this truck forever, so the tech in the new 16 made me hold off on a 15.

I started off in Woodbridge at Lustine. I will say they were willing to make a deal almost anyway possible, but they were pretty shady overall. I was so close to making a deal, but what they said, and what was on paper was several hundred dollars different.

Miller in Manassas didn't want to budged on anything. When they realized I refused to pay full msrp, they tried to push me out of the door.

I went to Ourisman in Chantilly. A salesman approached me as soon as I was on the lot. I was told there was one tacoma unlocked, and if I needed anything else he would be inside. Before I could even ask a question, he was gone.

Koons in Tysons I feel was the most helpful of all the places. I know they move a lot of cars, and they had a lot of information for me. I read above about some shady people working for them, but my experiences were great there. I was talking to the salesman, he was very knowledgeable about the 16, and the changes between the 2nd and 3rd gen. Rather than pushing a 2nd gen on me, he told me I might be happier waiting for a 16.

I'd really love to see a 3rd generation in person, and take it on a test drive. Sorry if this is a little off topic. I'm a rookie here!

Forgot to mention Lustine in Woodbridge. Helped my buddy buy a used Tacoma there. That salesman was shady as hell, but I crushed him on the price. Got it for less than they owned it for since I knew it has been sitting on lots for the past year. He wasn't happy about it. He kept using those stereotypical phrases like "I'll go see if I can best up my manager for you" and "I'll go punch my manager again".... You know, those shady lines full of BS trying to convince you he is working for you. It helped that I used to sell cars in college... So I know all the tricks. I of course let him know that after the transaction was complete. He was pissed.

I don't' know a lot about the other dealerships in the area, but Rosner offers free oil changes for life, free safety inspections for life, and the extend the engines powertrain warranty for life.

Those were pluses. Don't know if all that is worth it for deal with the MSRP ++ thing.

Any other dealers in the area offer the same stuff?

Koons is really not that bad at least around here. They were straight up and said they were not bothering with pre-orders on the 16 as they knew there would be supply constraints. I think they would rather just fill the lot up with a few first. They are usually always below MSRP except on their custom bro trucks they price for 40k from a pimped out SR5 and they are rapey on the TRD Pro.

I have an AC OR on order from Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota. Build date 9/29. Price is MSRP. I got a quote from Warrenton Toyota for $500 off MSRP, but only if I accepted it with the towing package. Jack Taylor's dealership is one of only 4 dealerships nationally who have received Toyota's President's award for 20+ years running. This may not mean anything to the consumer directly, but I think internally Toyota takes their awards very seriously, and tends to give dealerships that rank high more options.

I wouldn't deal with Koons under any circumstances. Several years ago I bought a Ford F150 at an auction and brought it directly from the auction to Koons to look it over for any obvious problems. They gave me a checklist of all the things they supposedly checked, which included a battery assessment. The next day I couldn't start the truck, and when I opened the hood I saw that the battery terminals were so corroded that it looked like a cauliflower farm. The inevitable conclusion is that they never so much as raised the hood, yet they claimed and charged me for checking all the systems of the truck. At least in their service department, they are grossly and transparently dishonest.

Thanks for the inputs folks. I guess we are not lucky as folks in California or Arizona who are already driving 2016 Tacos on the roads. I am torn between getting a TRD Pro vs Sport. I guess I will wait it out until Oct/Nov once they hit the dealer lots. I don't like to buy anything blindly and would definitely like to test drive and inspect every feature with my eyes b4 I make a move.

Anyone know? Any other dealer in NoVa offer perks for buying with them?

I guarantee that since VA's distribution comes direct from Toyota, the Northeast will be some of the last places to see them since the bulk of the assembly is in the Southwest.

You mean offroad right? Pro isn't happening anytime soon. There are still 2015 TRD Pros out there but most of them are being offered at unicorn pricing.
