This past week was spent backpacking, mountain biking, and wheeling in the Crested Butte, CO area. One of our friends is an amateur photographer and wanted to snap some pictures of the Crystal Mill, so we decided to turn the excursion into an afternoon of wheeling on Schofield Pass.
I wanted to see how the taco with the long bed would handle the pass. The trip Highlights are below:

Kebler Pass Road from CB to Marble, an easy and scenic road

The crystal Mill is down a narrow road from the town of Marble:

After the mill, the trail turns into a rocky shelf road:

At the bottom of the pass crossing the bridge in front of the Devil's Punchbowl:

Climbing up the difficult section of the pass requires 4LO and the locker came in handy a few times:

The shelf road continues above the punchbowl with a few off-camber sections:20180815_174342.jpg 20180815_174959.jpg 20180815_175354.jpg

One corner towards the top of the pass was moderate for the long bed but easy with some pivoting on the slider:

Water crossings led back to the trailhead at Co Rd 317 towards Gothic:

Took a Detour down Co Rd 734 through Paradise Basin On the way back into CB. Some of the best dispersed camping spots I've ever seen are up here:

Overall, super impressed with the taco. It was able to handle the wheeling we did on all 4x4 roads while we were up here. The long wheelbase made some corners a little bit slower than average but we haven't seen any real issues with it as of yet. Will be preparing another overlanding trip to the Leadville area for next summer.

    Taco on!

Man, we almost literally just missed you, and we're from Houston. We ran Schofield from the CB side on August 9th, then on to Lead King and back via Kebler. Schofield/Devil's Punchbowl was a lot more exciting in my wife's Tacoma than it was in our 2 door JK!

Glad you had a great time! Fort Worth here, we are already planning a trip back to the area for next year, its definitely a blast in the taco. HMU if you'll be up there!
