"DCLB" for me at least, stands for "Denver Colorado Left Behind!":burnrubber:

    20210906_085432.jpg

Well, that's me in the crappy Penske truck (it REEKED of weed :rasta:) pulling our Subaru entering into Arizona. My wife took this pic through the windshield of our Tacoma as we passed. I had hoped to put the Tacoma on the transport instead but, it is too long, too wide, too heavy or too"something" and couldn't be readily done. I wish I had some feedback on how the Tacoma performed pulling a 6' x 12' Uhaul trailer but, all she was able to provide was, "it was fine." However, she loved the adaptive cruise control!

Been in Denver metro for almost 10 years (feels like 100) and we have returned home to Phoenix, finally. I will refrain from making any blatant political comments after watching "mrtacoman88" banned for 30 days! But, we all know what the differences are. :crapstorm:

Phoenix and the Sonoran Desert are beautiful and I've missed it here. I will update my profile shortly to reflect my new location. In the mean time...

I'm a TIG welder and machinist (manual) looking for work in Phoenix. If you have or, know of anything, message me? :welder:

Also, anyone else moved with their Tacoma lately?
Anyone else recently leave Denver metro?
Anyone else move to Arizona lately?
Anyone smoked weed while driving a rental truck?

Congrats on the move & good luck finding work! Sorry can't help with your AZ questions, but this was a pic of me when I left CA

Or at least what I daydream about when I do actually finally make the move. Family business has me stuck here for the time being, but one day...

I made the trek to Tempe from the foothills and back a few weeks ago. Found myself daydreaming of moving there coming back through Flagstaff.

    Happy Trails in AZ! :mudding:

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Post in the AZ Tacomas facebook group the other day with someone looking for both TIG and MIG hands. You should find work no problem.

I moved here about 4 years ago, and love every bit of it, but the influx of people has been abundant!

Funny, when I bought the Quicksand 2 years ago, even then I imagined how good it would look in AZ. I think I'll rename it "Desert Sand" instead?

Did a few trails early on in Estes Park while bone stock. I just had it lifted earlier this year and we had scheduled some 4wd trips in Colorado using a trail guide book. Now that we've moved, those all got cancelled :notsure: so I still have not been offroad with the new lift and tires. Hopefully, we can get some trips with pics this fall. Can't wait! :mudding:

Nice, we are thinking of leaving Oregon for Nevada or Arizona. Family is really the only thing keeping us here. I work remote full time and my wife is a Nurse by trade and could find work anywhere.

AZ is beautiful state and good choice. I left CO years ago after growing up there for the midwest. I use to ride horses as a kid south of what is now the Denver Tech Center and there was little of anything along I-25 back then. My dad almost moved us to Ouray one year, which back then it was a cheap mountain town with hippies.

CO is a beautiful state with such easy access to public lands, but wow, I-25 from CS to FC is like southern CA! My next address is the Black Hills of SD (I already own land there), which in my opinion, the Black Hills is like Colorado in the 1970s.

Not sure if I belong in here since I do not have a 3rd gen taco, however I left California for greener pastures in North Carolina and I now plan to leave NC for Texas the winter. I did move in the Tacoma I bought in California, did not have to haul anything though since all my belongings fit in the back seats.

P.S. Good luck in Arizona (I've driven through a couple times and it was beautiful)

Good to see people moving south rather than north for a change. Anyone looking to relocate to Montana, Washington, Oregon or Idaho you should reconsider. Oregon and Washington are pretty much Californian now and Idaho still thinks pot is criminal.

Funny you say that. We are originally from N Nevada and then moved to Oregon City.
Came back 2 1/2 years ago. There are things I loved about Oregon, but my dislikes list is a mile long. My wife is a NP.

NP? Trying to figure out the abbreviation.

"We were able to buy a homestead in Minnesota. Locus kept eating the crops. Loss of crops went on for seven years. Frustrating as we wanted to make a go of it. My Father in Law, who lived in Oregon, had a neighbor selling his plot of land. Good Price, so time to move, settle, and build a new home. Dry wheat farming, so you have to plan on moving crops around and knowing some years might be very lean".

-- My Great Grandfather in 1875. Fought in the Civil War, Michigan Heavy Artillery 6th, born 1841 - died in 1921.

He made his fortune at 14 years old. Leading wagon trains to California. He felt strongly about the War, so he rode back to Michigan and Enlisted with his brother for a "3-month duration," which extended a few years. Both John and Henry (his younger brother) were pretty good on horses, moving wagon trains, and keeping things moving.

So moving around for better opportunities is a long-time tradition. I left Oregon in 1993, moved to Texas. I told my brother, "I'll be here for two years, then plan to move back to the west coast" It's funny how that worked out. I'm still in Texas.
