Does anyone else's rear passenger window moldings not sit flush? Both rear doors are like this. Front are fine.

I'd go back to your dealer to discuss.

Didn't realize it until just now, but mine does the same.

I washed it this afternoon and spent a few hours driving around this evening.
Took a look a few minutes ago and water is still sitting in the molding. Probably not a good thing.

Wonder if that could be a source of my whistle?

I'll take it in next week.

Checked out another 2016 DCSB on the dealer lot this morning. Neither rear passenger window moldings sit flush, varying degrees of separation. I can't imagine this is how it was designed.

2015 Double cabs on the lot were all flush as were the new tundras.

Just went and checked mine. Mine are very nearly flush, with a little flex, if that makes sense.

Mine is also like this. Appears the "U" in the channel which accepts the window is too shallow. So when the window is in the full UP position, it's pulling the weather stripping away. The fix would be a revised weather stripping with a slightly deeper channel. If you back the window off just a hair, you'll see the weather strip will tuck back in, though it will be deformed from the extended pressure of it being over extended.

Add another item to the list of minor things which will need to be fixed.

Dealer inspected mine and agreed it's not correct. Waiting on a solution from Toyota. The dealer has four Tacoma double cabs on the lot, two have the same problem as mine.

I took mine in Thursday; dealer is ordering a new molding. The two I saw on the lot were correct.

Could it be the "vortex generator" on the mirror? That little nub/triangle between the side mirror and the door. Supposed to help with air flow.

I've got some AVS in channel deflectors coming in the next few days, I wonder how they'll affect the molding. Make it worse or better? Anyone have a set of these installed and can speak up on the affect they have?
