    Hey guys,
I've been throwing around the idea of ditching my ATC LTD topper. Haven't decided one way or the other as of now, but I'd like some thoughts on used value for a decent topper.

ATC LTD Topper for a DCSB
Front flip down window with slider
    Side windoors with vent
    Framed rear window
rear and side windows have lockable latches
    LED 3rd brake light
Battery powered LED interior dome light
    Carpeted interior
    PPG Speedway Blue Metallic paint
Rhinorack roof rack with locks on towers

It's in excellent shape with no cracks or dings, paint is in excellent condition. Some light wear on the roof rack rails. I paid $2400 for it, just wondering what would be a reasonable price to get for it. It was installed 3/18.

I listed my walk-in ARE MX for $1500 and gleefully took $1200, probably could've held out & got my asking price but it came with the truck and I didn't care that much. It was pretty much loaded (don't think it had the fold down front though) same as yours.

It's very much about finding that one guy, who has the same color, same bed length, and wants the configuration and/or model you got, and is willing to part with a grand to get it. Pretty much anyone else is going to be in the "I'll take what I can get for [$50-250] and live with it" camp. Having time to wait is your friend.

That is a lot more than one would sell for around here. If someone could use the same color $1000 tops. If they are going to have to get it painted no more than $500.

I second the $500. Be happy if you get that.

Yeah, I got a Leer for my last truck and painted it to match myself for about 380 all in, the thing was a pile of crap though. Thought about replacing this one with a roll up tonneau and some cash back in my pocket, but if it's gonna be a wash I'll just save up and buy a tonneau, and keep the topper for bird/ski season. The upgraded windows and such are not cheap, and from my experience (Leer), the frameless rear windows suck.

Topper has got to be the most useful thing I have on my truck. Paid 5 or 6 hundred for mine from another member here, then another 500 to have it color matched. Mine is not nearly as nice as yours but can't imagine not having it. In my opinion Tacomas look better with a shell, you should keep it. I really enjoy being able to leave my gear in the truck and not having to worry with it getting wet.

Yeah, if I’m gonna take a bath on it and get ~20% of what I paid for it I’m gonna hang onto it. It is nice for bird hunting with 2 dogs, kennels, cooler, dog supplies and guns and keeping everything dry and relatively secure.

Had a guy in town that couldn't sell his. He had the bright idea that he could just dump it out into a open field near work. Short a few brain cells he left his "For Sale " sign still in the side window. Called him up and told him, "you'll be going to jail if you don't come back and take his topper home." Some people are just that bright.

How do you like the ATC toppers? I found a used one and wanted more info on them. Do they leak?

We camp several times a year. It is great being able to put our gear in the back and not worry with it getting wet. Kayak goes on the rack on top of the shell. Then pull the camper, I could go on and as to why I love the shell. If the shell does not meet your lifestyle don't let the others deter you. I bet you could get 1500 for it, might take some time but someone will want it.

Mine leaked a small amount from the front corners of the bed and a little from the front window. There were some screws missing from the frame on the front window that I didn’t discover until about a month ago. Put in some screws and it’s dry there. Took the topper off a couple weeks ago and put some foam weatherstripping in the front corners of the bed and now the only leaks I get are from the cubbys in the side of the bed. Only thing I have to compare it to is a mid 2000’s leer 100xl or something, but it is built better than that thing was.

Hah, I don’t. It’s hot enough here. I’m ready for 10 degrees and a couple feet of snow.

Id list it for 1500. That is what I would list mine for. I have almost a identical version but LEER.
