I've narrowed down my ditchlight options to the two lights above. I'd be using it strictly offroad only. I want the best light output but also to keep it low profile so I am torn. I guess what I am asking is if anyone has had personal experience and if the ss3's are worth it over the smaller ssc2's. Thanks all.

I haven’t tested the SSC2 yet, but for a ditch-light application I also favor a more low profile light that a full size pod. The SSC2s are supposed to have greater than 50% of the output of the full size SS3 version due to better thermal characteristics. For a ditch light though, you don’t need the extreme power of the SS3 Pro, you’re not looking to project long range, so the SSC2 should be plenty.

Now this is just my opinion but have you looked at BD s1’s there’s small a put out alot of light. Im not saying that DD are better i have two different models on my truck. But as ditch light to me the size and looks of the BD maybe an option

No I haven't. But honestly, I have a $100 credit on a website and that site only carries DD. So I'm swayed towards dd because my wallet says so. :spending: plus, I've heard good things on dd and bd alike so I'm fine with either. Thanks guys.

I don't think SS3 pros are worth the money to be used as ditch lights. I currently run SS3 Pro fog lights and SS3 Sport ditch lights. I also agree with crashnburn80 that the smaller lights look better, so I'd probably downsize if I plan on upgrading. I think SSC2 is pretty neat and I'll probably replace my current ditch lights with those.

If someone doesn’t get to it before me, I’ll get a night shot of my ssc2 sports for you tonight. They’re more than enough light in my opinion, so the pros suffice just fine.

So this is the ssc2 sport in a flood pattern. Plenty of light.
